// ANNULE//Séminaire Ausonius – Exploring past action and experience through the study of Bronze Age weaponry : Experimental and use-wear approaches
Date. Jeudi 15 novembre 2018 de 18h00 à 20h00
Lieu. Salle Pierre Paris – Maison de l’archéologie (Université Bordeaux-Montaigne)
Visually striking weaponry from the Bronze Age fills the museum halls of Europe. Part of the impact of these objects today is their remarkable state of preservation, which includes minute traces of damage which was often inflicted in ancient times during their use in combat. This presentation explores how we can combine analyses of ancient traces of damage with experimental archaeology to reconstruct aspects of the movements and activities of Bronze Age warriors using such weapons.
